Growing up in her home town Hastings (UK) in the 80‘s, Venus
developed her love for hip hop, reggae and soul music by playing for house parties in London at 16, inevitably shaping her style and her musical taste for the years to come.

Influenced by Hip Hop masters Eric B and Rakim, Grandmaster Flash,Big Daddy Kane, Prince , sade and The jacksons, visiting the local nightclubs of London from the young age of 16, spending many weekends at The Fridge, Brixton listening to Soul II Soul play their weekly residency.

She later hosted host regular shows on London’s underground radio stations such as Y2K fm, Urban Fresh FM, Time FM and LWR fm, which drew her onto the London club scene.

Her club sets are either an eclectic high-energy mix of up-
tempo R&B, Funky Hip-hop classics, disco, 80’s soul with a sprinkling of Commercial when necessary, or a mix of Afro, Soulful, Deep and Bumpy Tech house. Her dinner sets see Venus in a different light exercising her love of world music
